The Sustainability Tribe is a network of independent sustainability consultants that empower businesses on their transformational journey.

We are guided by the deep conviction that collaboration, teamwork and sharing makes us grow as human beings, makes us learn and improve our skills and ultimately, enhances our outcomes to serve planet, people and profit!

Marena Eirich

Co-founder

Marena is a sustainability entrepreneur and creator of teams4purpose, a program that accelerates sustainable business practices within organizations using the collective intelligence of their employees.

 

She is co-founder of The Sustainability Tribe and a former social business entrepreneur (co-founder of Vertuose.fr).

 

Marena has also a 15-year business background in the corporate world within multiple Marketing & Communication roles across Europe.

Marena has a Diploma in Sustainable Business from the Business School Lausanne and the University of St. Gallen and a double-degree in International Management from the IPBS network (ICADE Spain + ESB Business School Germany).

Marena is a citizen of the world and has lived and worked in Germany, Spain, Italy and is currently based in Paris, France.

Josefina Espinosa

Co-founder 

Josefina is a Sustainability professional with hands-on environmental sustainability and education in private, government and non-profit sectors.

 

She is collaborating with the Master of Agribusiness of the  Polytechnic University of Valencia as external lecturer with the workshop “Applying Design Thinking to the Sustainable Food Systems”. As well as with Agrarian Cooperatives Federation of Valencia as a project implementation trainer in the in the project “common land cultivation”

Seeking to expand her skills, she co-leads GreenBuzz Geneva, the peer to peer network for sustainability professionals that holds events in Geneva where a new sustainability theme or topic is introduced and also provide an informal space to connect and to network.

 

She has an agricultural engineering background, an Executive MBA from the Business School Lausanne and  a Diploma in Sustainable Business from the Business School Lausanne and the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland.

Josefina is currently based in Geneva, Switzerland.

Nadene Canning

Advisor and Thinking Board Member

Nadene created ALLSystemsGo! in 2009 to share her expertise in strategy, collaboration, agility, change, team-building, inclusion and cross-cultural competencies.

 

By deciphering variables in a creative and analytical way, Nadene works with executives, business owners and professionals worldwide, enabling and supporting learning that accelerates collaboration, performance and impact. Her roles vary from executive and personal leadership advisor, facilitator, trainer, speaker and professor.

 

She teaches “Leading Change in Sustainable Business” which is part of the Diploma in Sustainable Business, a joint program of Business School Lausanne and the Institute for Economy and the Environment of University of St. Gallen (IWÖ-HSG). As well as Negotiation Techniques and Leadership and Management skills respectively at EPFL’s College of Management of Technology and Business School Lausanne. Nadene is a certified Being at Full Potential assessment coach and trainer. 

She founded VIA2 in 2003, and has seven years of experience developing leadership capacity and building more flexible and inclusive workplaces. To capture this experience and share lessons learned she wrote “La force de l’équilibre. Vie familiale, vie professionnelle”, which was published in 2012.

Coty Jeronimus

Founding Member

Coty is a highly experienced product specialist, with a broad knowledge of sportswear and outdoor apparel including merchandising, sourcing and buying. She is a sustainability professional with a diploma in Sustainable Business from the Business School Lausanne and the University of St Gallen.

 

She is willing to implement sustainable leadership in companies, while raising sustainability awareness from top down which positively affects the bottom line while protecting our natural resources.

- Help business to reduce natural resources and footprint.

- Contribute with creative solutions to sustainable challenges and supporting your responsible change.

 

She works on as a freelance consultant on different projects:

  • For the Swiss agency for development and cooperation supporting nomadic herders in Mongolia to increase their livelihood by harvesting luxury fibers which are less affecting the rangeland.

  • Developing with Textile exchange an assessment tool for Responsible leather standards.

  • Working in Nepal with an Swiss based NGO, developing projects with local artisans.

  • She also facilitates workshops and gives lecturers.

Coty is an active outdoor sports woman with a strong interest in sustainability and the environment. She is of Dutch origin but lived and worked in France and now in Switzerland.

Michele Soavi

Founding Member

Michele is a Sustainability professional with a Diploma in Sustainable Business from the Business School Lausanne and the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland.

 

He has several years of experience in audit and advisory in the financial services industry. He helps to evaluate, monitor and propose improvement opportunities related to operational and financial business models.

 

With his specialization in Sustainability, he performs analysis with a triple-bottom line. Thus, taking into consideration the economic, environmental and social performance of  companies. Active in the Blockchain space to get started on the technology and integrate it with sustainability considerations

 

Michele has working experiences in 4 countries and speaks fluently 4 languages. He is currently based in Lausanne where he recently obtained an MBA from the Business School Lausanne.

Christian Thöne

Founding Member

Christian is a Sustainability professional with a Diploma in Sustainable Business from the Business School Lausanne and the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland.
 

In addition to his track record in Finance and Operations he is an experienced workforce manager currently employed in the IT industry and skilled in staffing of projects.
 

He possesses a master of Political Science from the university of Bonn and an Executive MBA from the Business School Lausanne.
 

Christian is based in the Basel area.
